Jr NTR, also known as Nandamuri Taraka Rao, is an actor who works primarily in Telugu cinema. He was born Friday, May 20, 1983 to Nandamuri Haririkrishna und Shalini Bhaskar Rao at Hyderabad, Telangana.

He is the Grandson a well-known Telugu actor, N. T. Rama Rao. His father married Lakshmi. He has two half-brothers, Janaki RAM (Film Producer) as well as Nandamuri Kalyan Ram who is an actor in Tollywood.

NTR was educated at Vidyaranya High school, Hyderabad. He later joined St. Mary’s College in Hyderabad to further his education.  He then graduated with a B.Tech degree from Vignan College in Vadlamudi (Andhra Pradesh), India.

NTR’s debut as a child actor in Brahmarshi Vishwamitra, directed and written by his grandfather N. T. Rama Rao. Later, he starred in Gunasekhar’s mythological film Ramayanam. This film won the National Film Award.
